“A Jazzy Experience”: sound, visuals and media for a gala celebrating the next generation of leaders.

01The challenge

WrightChoice Mentoring was founded more than 20 years ago by speaker, advocate and author TyKiah Wright-Wilson. A gala is a mentoring organization’s biggest night. Donors, families, mentors and mentees share one room, and the program has to feel as polished as the mission is powerful. WrightChoice needed one trusted partner for sound, visuals and media so its team could focus on its guests.

02Our approach

We started at the planning table, meeting with TyKiah and her team to map the program, the honoree segment and the technical needs of the room. From there we owned the audio/visual and media creation needs end to end: clear sound and visual displays for the program, live switching and playback from the tech table, and capture of the evening’s key moments. During a dedicated pre-production shoot, we set up a lit, two-camera interview in a lounge to record a segment honoring WrightChoice’s mentors. The finished segment then played for guests during the gala program.
